PUBLICATION OF DRAFT BETTING (BOOKMAKER AND TOTALISATOR) REQUEST FOR APPLICATION DOCUMENT (RFA) AND INVITATION FOR COMMENTS

The Botswana Gambling Authority (The Authority) has begun the process of selecting an operator(s) for Betting (Bookmaker and Totalisator) Licences in Botswana. The Authority will publish the Draft Betting RFA document on its website from Tuesday 4th April 2023

The RFA is the guiding document that shall be used to provide information on the process and information required from applicants to be assessed for the award of licences to successful bidders.

The purpose of the publication is to give the public an opportunity to comment directly to the Authority before the FINAL RFA is published. In that regard, the Authority invites the public to provide comments on the DRAFT BETTING (BOOKMAKER AND TOTALISATOR) RFA will will be available for download from 4th April, on our website by visiting http://gamblingauthority.co.bw and navigating to “resources > download documents” or directly visiting http://gamblingauthority.co.bw/docs/draft-betting-rfa.pdf

Comments should be sent via email or registered mail to betting@gamblingauthority.co.bw, or Chief Executive Officer, Gambling Authority, Private Bag BR 161, Gaborone, Botswana, no later than 27th April 2023 at 1700hrs (Central African Time)
