ICT SYSTEMS & INFRASTRUCTURE OFFICER (X1)

Job Purpose

To provide reliable, secure and efficient administration, maintenance and technical support of the Gambling Authority’s ICT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cloud services, networks, cybersecurity controls and end-user computing environment.

The position will provide day-to-day operational ICT support across the Authority, coordinate ICT vendors and service providers, maintain ICT assets and technical documentation, support ICT projects and facilitate knowledge transfer from external consultants and service providers to strengthen internal ICT capability and reduce dependence on outsourced technical support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administering and maintaining servers, operating systems, storage, cloud services and core ICT infrastructure.
  • Configuring and maintaining network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless networks, internet connectivity and VPN services.
  • Monitoring infrastructure availability, capacity, performance and service health.
  • Administering and supporting the Authority’s enterprise and business systems, including regulatory, responsible gambling, finance, HR, website, intranet and document management systems.
  • Administering and monitoring firewalls, endpoint protection, email security, patch management and other cybersecurity controls.
  • Monitoring security alerts, vulnerabilities and suspicious activities and coordinating appropriate remediation and escalation.
  • Administering backup systems and supporting disaster recovery planning, testing and incident response activities.
  • Providing technical support to users across all departments and resolving ICT service requests within agreed service levels.

 

Education:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related discipline is required.

Professional certification will be an added advantage in one or more of the following areas: Microsoft 365/Azure administration, systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, cloud administration, IT service management, or infrastructure support. Relevant certifications may include Microsoft Certified Administrator or Microsoft 365/Azure certification, Cisco CCNA or equivalent, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Security+, ITIL Foundation, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or equivalent infrastructure, cloud or cybersecurity certification

Experience:

A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ relevant experience in ICT infrastructure, systems administration, network administration or a related ICT operations role.

Experience in administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory, Windows Server, networks, firewalls, backup systems and endpoint environments.
